Journey quietly by canoe into beaver country on a private guided wildlife adventure through the Scottish Highlands. Paddling is one of the best ways to explore beaver habitat. Travelling silently along the water gives us a unique view of the landscape and the wildlife that lives within it, while allowing us to investigate the signs beavers leave along the banks. We’ll look for freshly gnawed and felled trees, feeding areas, tracks, burrows and other signs of beaver activity, while discovering how these remarkable animals are changing Highland rivers and wetlands. Along the way there is also the chance to encounter some of the Highlands’ other wildlife, including otters, deer and a variety of birdlife and raptors. Your private guide provides all canoeing instruction and equipment, so no previous canoeing experience is necessary. Beavers are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed, but the journey through their habitat and the signs they leave behind make every trip different.
